Gita has spent the last decade in professional roles while pursuing higher education and editing both fiction and nonfiction. She is particularly drawn to speculative fiction, science fiction, reimagined mythology, folk and fairy tales, historical fiction, and stories featuring creatures or cryptids.

With a background in theatre, Gita is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative and Professional Writing at Western Connecticut State University. She serves as Associate Editor and Lead Fiction Reader at Poor Yorick Journal.
